This film offers a unique opportunity to enter the department of immigration of Amsterdam Courthouse. Through the work of three judges, we share their experiences and the doubts that they confront themselves with every day, as their job is to decide the fate of hundreds of migrants whose residency permit requests were denied by the government.
Talking about it: Piercarlo Pazè and Pietro Buffa. Piercarlo Pazè, former attorney general at Turin Courthouse for Minors, is a scholar of the problems related to foreign immigrants in Italy, especially concerning underage people and their families. He is director of Minorigiustizia magazine. Pietro Buffa is specialised in psych-social Clinic Criminology. He has worked as an expert in criminology at Turin courthouse, and has been the director of a prison since 1003. He coordinates several projects and study groups at a local, national and international level.
