This touching documentary film focuses on the lives of a number kids in Salhus, a facility that provides temporary shelter to 20 minors in seek of refuge. While the kids are still hoping for an extension of their status of refugees, their eighteenth birthday looms over them, as if they were under the sword of Damocles. Most of them will be expelled in the very moment they turn eighteen, when they will face an uncertain fate in Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq or in other war-wrecked regions. “Nowhere home” thus uncovers one of the main moral dilemmas of contemporary Europe.
