L’IMPOSSIBLE – PAGES ARRACHÉES

A journey from Calais to Paris divided into five episodes inspired by Rimbaud, Lautréamont, Dostoevskij, Benjamin and Blanqui’s work and all connected by their involvement with the issue of political fights. The film shows images of migrants waiting to leave the French shore for England, of uprising students and occasional workers during the protests in Paris in March and May 2009 and of a 1960s gay pride —taken from a film by Lionel Soukaz. The film will be projected in an unreleased version with a soundtrack by jazz legend Archie Shepp. A night dedicated to the fusion of music, cinema, artistic research and political commitment.
