Through the meeting places and places of worship of the different Islamic communities in Milan, this film tells the stories of Saadi Nassim, a man from Tunisia who was first arrested and later acquitted of the accuse of terrorism, and of Sultan Mohammed, who was himself grilled and then arrested. These are stories of people living in old warehouses transformed into mosques, where they meet every Friday to pray, look for a job or defend their rights.

Paolo Branca is a teacher of Arab Language and Literature and Islamic Studies at the Università Cattolica di Milano. He specialised in the problematic relationship between Islam and the modern world, especially concerning the phenomena of Muslim fundamentalism and reformism. Stefano Mordini has been working in the fields of fiction and documentary cinema since the 1990s, both as a producer and as a director. In 2005 he directs his first fiction feature film "Provincia meccanica" ("A Clockwork Province "), which was presented at Berlin International Film Festival.
