UNA SCUOLA ITALIANA

A theatre lab is taking place in a primary school classroom. The teachers are telling the children about Dorothy’s journey in the magic Land of Oz. The children listening are all 3 to 5 years old, and they were all born in Italy from foreign parents. They go to Carlo Pisacane primary school, in the very heart of the historical, working-class neighbourhood of Torpignattara in Rome. A growing number of immigrant families are moving there, which is making the conflicts increase. While the theatre lab is going on, this school become the centre of a national news story.
